Silver Charging Conveyor
The Silver Charging Conveyor was designed for Zinifex Port Pirie Smelter in 2007.
The aim of the project was to determine the best way of charging the silver furnace and to mechanize
the process in order to minimize OHS hazards such as noise, heat, manual handling and toxic fumes.
In order to achive the above goals, feasibility study was conducted and four concept designes were investigated and completed.
As the result, due to relatively simple, low cost and safe of operating, the "Moveable Inclined Screw Conveyor Charging" was chosen and detail design was delivered.
Both the feasibility study and detail design was done by Bartco Design P/L.
